Žiga Željko won the bronze medal at CEOI 2015! In the competition of 44 best programmers from Poland, Croatia, Romania, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland he achieved 320 points out of 600 and won the bronze.

On a LADS^3 2014 webpage we published video lectures of Bengt Nilsson and Ian Munro covering the online algorithms and succinct data structures. The video was recorded and edited by the videolectures.net team.

Almost 30 attendants are currently at the Ljubljana Algorithms and Data struvtures Summer School 2014 organized by LUSY, Faculty of Computer and Information Science at University of Ljubljana. Today, 4. 9. 2014 at 10:15, student Aleksander Fabijan will defence his thesis at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science. Thesis titled Online Algorithms for Graph Partitioning into Cliques was written under supervision of his mentor dr. Andrej Brodnik and co-mentor prof. dr. Bengt J. Nilsson. The summer school will take place on September 1-5, 2014 at the new building of University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science.

Bogdán Zaválnij, University of Pécs, Hungary will have an invited lecture at Algorithms and data structures 2 course on Thursday, 29 May 2014 at 7:30 in Lecture room 2, Tržaška 25. He will talk about the Monte Carlo and Las Vegas methods and about the parallel programming using MPI. He will also demonstrate the execution of algorithms on one of their super computers.
